It felt like the Bishop was at risk of being blocked in. Even though I knew that it would not be very effective to go after it, I still threw something up because anything can happen with ELOs like these.
I feel glad that I anticipated this by bringing the Bishop to e7. I can also say that this was move was anticipated because I normally do not feel that strongly about King's side castling. It's not exactly a "squad goal."
This had been a disappointing development -- I had really banked on exploiting this pawn here, and also having the f3 Bishop really actively threatening the rook on A1.
