Any Dutch lawyers in the house?

Hi guys. I'm collecting quotes from comanies with the aim to export something. I've got quotes from Holland, Denmark, Germany and a couple of others. Is there anyone around that can advise me of a way to check up on the companies in question to see if they are all above board? If someone wishes to do this in an official capacity, i can arrange payment for the work. This is a new venture for us, so we just want go in with our eyes open.

Do you want to know the creditability of a supplier or a potential customer? There are various payment methods available which protect you, such as Paypal and Escrow (third party payment holder). There are also certain websites for suppliers whereby they gain creditability through carrying out honest transactions. 'Alibaba' is one but I believe every supplier on this site is bent. I'm sure there must be some decent ones out there though.

The supplier. We're acting as brokers for the customer. My partner knows the export side, and how to protect your money till reciept of goods. The two companies i've chosen seem legit, i just want to be sure.

Hmm. Wouldn't be quite sure of that one then although Google is a wonderful tool for digging up stuff about companies. For instance 'Whois' cn tell you all manner of data about a company just from their domain name, inclding how long they have been established which is good indicator: -
