there is a reason why people watching jon stewart are more informed than people watching cnn, nbc, etc. Fox viewers are in an entirely new category of uninformed.

That's it then - a generation of Americans brainwashed and the revolution is just around the corner; the USA has become a workers' paradise and Stewart has proven the nemesis of Capitalism. Balanced and serious journalism at work is always a delight to observe.

Opponents of Stewart seen to never be able to address his points and resort to personal attacks out of desperation to save face for their side.

    ONE error?
In all the years he's been misrepresenting things for a laugh he admitted to ONE error, and THAT was for the sake of calling out Fox and claiming "see how honest I am compared to Fox ?"
    Yeah great he's very ethical.

You asked for an occasion Stewart admitted to wrong, and one was given to you. By trying to turn that into an attack on Stewart, you're doing the very thing you accuse him of. How "ethical" is that?

OK I went a googlin', looking for Jon Stewart retractions, admits being wrong etc.
Found the same one you posted.
    Wow.
He's like jebus I guess, guy ain't never wrong about nuthin'.
The only time he owned up to making a mistake was just to call out Fox and claim to be uber-honest compared to them, he's a doosh.

The you tube link has been pulled. Jon Stewart is admittedly a comedian, not a serious journalist, which isn't to say his "reports" don't contain truth. All news is a matter of perspective, including Fox. Hardly anything that has been written about Ferguson is lacking in perspective, and one has to separate fact from fiction and opinion, not an easy thing to do.

I often wonder why it is that some folks tend to cite comedians like Stewart when he picks on Fox News, but ignore the occasions when he satirizes the other networks?

No, it isn't. News is (well, should be) purely factual, untainted by subjectivity like "perspective". Don't confuse "perspective" with context.

You know why. Because Fox has an unprecedented history of not only bias, but deliberately twisting truth to further their right-wing agenda. The fact that Fox is the largest single news channel in the U.S. makes their tactics dangerous; therefore, people will cite attacks against Fox much more often than other networks, because a network like Fox needs to be kept in check.

Since the other link has been pulled, here's another one from Comedy Central (the same Stewart video), which wasn't online when I started this thread:

he is one of the most objective, ethical journalist in the US. he informs the public, something recognized by numerous polls.

he isn't better than just fox (mostly everyone is better than fox). he is better than cnn and nbc as well.
