Pain is evolutions way of telling you not to do something. It is very effective. Just look at examples of people who cannot feel pain for various reasons and you will see.

Also I believe leprosy has this as a side effect.
Evolution can't do anything. Evolution does not have a mind. Evolution can't see, hear, speak, feel, work, design, make, or create anything. Evolution is just a made up word that atheists use to represent change or anything they don't really understand and do not want to attribute to God.

From what I've seen and experienced, my greatest advances spiritually have come due to various thorns in the flesh, as Paul would call them.
Spiritually speaking, we can grow and learn from pain, but pain of itself is not from God.
I know many Christians believe God sends us calamity, sickness, etc., but it is not biblical.
