My team played a league match last night against Oxford University. My opponent on board 1 had crushed me last time we played and was very confident this time, especially after I completely mishandled the opening, giving him the advantage after a mere eight moves or so. However he played a little too quickly and allowed me to push my a-pawn to the 7th rank, after which it was all over.
Congrats. It's always nice to avenge yourself for a bad game. It seems like black llayed greedy thinking he could get away with letting you advance your pawn.
