The 10000000th game

After all the disruption of the site update, it is quite exciting to announce that we have just ticked over the 10,000,000 game created on the site.

Not all of those have been played to their conclusion, of course, but still a big milestone.

In my club we've been watching the numbers for a few days now. To be honest, we were considering the possibility of a millenium-style crash, because we didn't think that anyone in 2001 could possibly have envisaged 10 million games. I'm happy our doomsayers were proved wrong!

Sorry, should have made myself clearer. The doomsayers were members of my household, nobody on the site said anything along those lines. We were having a discussion about year-2000 bug paranoia here at home, and I made some comment about an extra digit in the number 10,000,000. Sometimes I forget which group of people I'm talking to. 🙁

Pretty certain it was a game between two humans. Therein lies the honour. Flawless it was not but human all too human.
