First round and Nakamura got his clock cleaned by Mamedyarov in just 31 moves. Naka has not been playing well of late. Caruana smothered Anand, that makes 2 in a row over Vishy for Fabiano.

Caruana has played Carlsen a dozen times or more and has only beaten him maybe 2 times, I checked the record and Carlsen is up on him like 11 1/2 to 3 1/2 or so, counting 5 draws.

At least Fabio has a better record against Magnus than Nakamura has. Naka has lost to Carlsen 6 times, with no wins and a few draws.

Nakamura had never beaten Svidler before their last game, either. Anand, if I'm not mistaken, has never beaten Nakamura.
Looks like I spoke too soon about Nakamura. He beat Caruana today, his 3rd straight win. All other games drawn,so Naka is alone in first for the moment.
Nakamura beat Anand, and Carlsen could only draw Gelfand,so looks like Naka is in the drivers seat. Game of the round was the insane draw between Caruana and Kramnik, craziest Berlin Wall I've seen.
