    The union wants wages for the lowest-paid entry-level miners to be more than doubled to 12,500 rand ($1,134) a month.

    The demands of all strikers in every strike are automatically reasonable.

    Some googling tells me that unskilled labor pays about $400 a month, teachers make about $1100, so I guess they should pay these illiterates more.
