1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 g6 3. Nc3 Bg7 4. e3 {I like playing against this, often it turns out to be a waste of a tempo and e3-e4 comes later.} 4... O-O 5. Bd2 {Not a good developing move. 5.Nf3 hitting the e5 square was better.} 5... d6 6. f4 e5 {With no Knight on f3 this is OK.} 7. fxe5 dxe5 8. dxe5 Ng4 9. Nf3 Nc6 10. Be2 Ngxe5 11. O-O Be6 {Must keep my eye on d5, that c3 Knight may visit there at the right moment. But I'm really just slinging the bits out and seeing what turns up.} 12. b3 {Now what to do? I'll pin the d2 Bishop.} 12... Qe7 13. Rc1 Rad8 14. Qe1 {OK. I'll double up on the d-file.} 14... Rd7 15. Rd1 Rfd8 16. Nxe5 {Glad to see that, I was wanting to move my c6 Knight.} 16... Nxe5 17. Bc1 c6 {and that keeps that c3 beast of d5.} 18. Rxd7 Rxd7 19. Nd1 {He has all hands covering his weak e3 pawn. I'll swap off his best piece the e2 Bishop.} 19... Bf5 20. Nc3 Bd3 21. Bb2 Bxe2 22. Qxe2 Nd3 23. Ba1 {Damn. I wanted that Bishop and now he has tactical Nd5 tricks and taking d3. Never went in deep to see where it goes but it looks like an ending. Move Knight and shuffle it to a better square.} 23... Nc5 24. b4 {Ahh that is good. I can work on that pawn move.} 24... Nd3 {Hello again d3 but this time I'm on b4 I see a wee ant-tactical trick.} 25. a3 Qe6 {Now my Queen is no longer being hit with Nd5 tricks and....} 26. c5 {Nd5 tricks are out of the question as I can now take on d5 with a Rook.} 26... Bh6 {Start poking that e3 pawn. Thankfully he does not have Qb2 here which gets him more tricks moving the c3 Knight.} 27. e4 {Now that must be a baddie. (he should have played it on move 4.) I get f4 with a hit and the h6 Bishop covers d2 my Rook has an entry point on the 7th rank. Houston we are looking good.} 27... Nf4 {If now Qb2 I can win his Queen with Rd2 QxR and Nh3+} 28. Qf3 {The White Queen is very short of squares here. I see the winning tactic.} 28... Rd3 29. Qf2 {Only move - I sent the next sequence as conditional moves.} 29... Nh3+ {But White resigned. If...} 30. gxh3 Be3 {Good fun game, nice work out. Hope the other lad enjoyed it.}
