    Stees my wife then girlfriend bought me the album 2nd winter for my 18th birthday got most of his albums most on vinyl sadly missed.

    I didn't "get into" him till later on (about 1971), a master of the blues.

    Did you go? It turns out I could have gone, was pretty close but was involved in traditional folk music so wasn't so interested in rock. I was studying country blues ATT with my mentor Backwards Sam Firk, AKA Micheal A Stewart. He is also RIP. He helped rediscover Mississippi John Hurt with his buddy Tom Hoskins AKA Fang. Firk played and recorded with Stephan Michealson, AKA Delta X.

    no the closest I got to seeing him was about 9 years back he did a gig just outside London I tried to get tickets but alas sold out within hours I did get to see BB King in Newcastle and Peter greens Fleetwood mac back in 69 and another british bluesman Duster Bennett R.I.P
