    I don't pretend to really understand this but it sounds promising to me:

    If I am reading this right, they are saying they are using ultra-cold atoms in place of superconducting electrons to physically simulate high temperature superconductivity -something they say is too difficult to computer-simulate using conventional computers.
    Hopefully this will lead to greater understanding of such superconductors and then the next step, if we are really lucky; make room temperature superconductors.

    Saw that but didn't understand the implications. Hope it leads to something new.
