    If America cannot find a way to close the ever widening gap between rich and poor, keep jobs from being off shored, and begin to grow it's shrinking middle class, this will only get worse. It's easy to dismiss these scenes as a bunch of malcontents trying to stir up trouble, but it reflects a growing sense of hopelessness the majority of our citizens feel.

    The typical American attitude that says "I've got mine, to heck with you!" needs revision...and soon.

    Most of those protests look like they have to do with racism not economics.

    I do think that increasing inequality world wide may eventually lead to unrest and possibly radical changes. I would hope that the changes can be managed peacefully. I think some European countries have managed to trend towards a more equal socialism without the violence of Communism or Facism

    If you define middle class like Obama, then the middle class is growing. Obama's middle class is actually the lower class.
