I don't like the ones in any of the sport shops in England last few years like in Foot Locker and JD, too much on them, the designers go over the top with the number of colours and lumps of stupid plastic on them, sometimes it's like they were designed by clowns, prefer under stated varieties. Got some nice ones in Spain recently, just simple black suede Nikes with a white tick down sides, don't seem to have them like that over here any more, it's all that over the top nonsense. Any way - any trainer sneaker enthusiasts abroad give me some ideas with pictures so I can think about ordering online. Prefer Nike or Adidas. |

See you reside in Germany, you got good sport shops there I think. I got some online on Ebay from some big Sports shop in Germany, Nike Air Zooms that were totally sold out accross England long time before.
Thanks for the suggestion, I'll take a look.. |

Haha, that's the total opposite to what I'm going for I know what you mean. Most sneakers in the stores are WAY too pimped out. I prefer simple, functional, lightweight ones. I like Nike shoes, but for the gym, I'm finding that New Balance ones are often lighter, cheaper, simpler and equally comfortable.
For casual sneakers, I like my black Converse high tops or Pumas. |

Yeah I'm feeling some of the Pumas actually, saw some nice ones the other day that were just straight forward no nonsense nice shoes, cheaper than the rival Adidas and Nike brand shoes in the shop as well. I don't know where some these ideas come from that trainers need to be dolled up with all these bits and pieces, it didn't used to be like that. Like I said in Spain I saw some styles from a many years ago updated but still retro and that's what I'd like to see over here, sadly I think English sports shops appeal to our overwhelming population of styleless morons.
I know many a massive that swear by their converse but havn't been tempted so far myself as yet. |

Anyone got any thoughts on comfort of Nike Airs versus other makes? Nike Air Max 360 are the most comfortable. They retail for $160, but i get them at a Nike outlet store for $40. I only wear them for jogging and i still have the same pair for 4 years. If you have bad feet and ankles they're the best.
