Japan is experiencing a boom in pornography appealing to -- and starring -- the septuagenarian set. My debate question: Is it erotic art or elderly abuse to give a 77-year-old Japanese lady a Cleveland Steamer or to drip hot candle wax on her sagging breasts?

Depends on what the Japanese lady thinks about the whole situation. They have an inalienable right to pursue happiness. Let them. Why not?

This is a bit of a change from your usual rants.

It is neither erotic art nor elderly abuse - where's the problem with movies involving the elderly and sex?

What do you think it is?

I think it's further justification for why we dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

What's your problem with it? It obviously meets a need. Plus, isn't their life expectancy a lot longer there?

Answers like that make it easy to understand those who celebrated 9/11.

They also eat fish heads and rice on Christmas day there -- what's your point?

My point was "why do you care?" Couple of old people screwing. So what. The sun will come up tomorrow and everything will be OK.

Let me ask you a couple of questions: Would you want a video of your grandparents copulating? Would you care if it were broadcast on cable TV or available for purchase at the Marylin Chambers Superstore?

I never said I would want a video of my grandparents screwing. But if there was one out there and it made them happy, God bless them. And I wouldn't care where it was broadcast. There are worse things on TV.
