Banner Image Question

Hi clan leaders

Im trying to upload a clan image that goes across the whole screen as i dont want the black rectangles either side. Is there a way i can stretch my current banner?

I notice a couple of clans have managed this and was wondering if there was an easy trick even a fool like me can do?

dude send me the image, I will put it into GIMP 2.8 and either stretch it to the correct size or source a similar one, or even better and crop it to the size specified by RHP. send me a pm and I will send you the details to me dropbox or google drive. The prob;em that we are facing is that the banner image must be 990x100., Thats long and skinny, if you stretch your image all you will see are Penfolds bellybutton or Dangermouses head will appear like a rugby ball. The best way I have found to keep your image perspective as it is and fill the background in with a similar colour and blend your image into it. Take a look at the Easy Riders banner and you will see its rather effective.

The banner is now completed.

it looks awesome on timeforchess although on a wide screen monitor I feel RHP stretches the image a little too much, 1250x 250 would have been better, but ok, maybe there are server restrictions 😀

I recommend him to any clan leader who is looking to have a nice home page if they dont know how to do it themselves.

My clan have played for a total of 8 points with the easy riders - the same amount that Metallica have.

Notice i asked at the beginning of the thread for anyone who had any ideas - robbie volunteered and i was very grateful to him.

Not the accurate description of a lackey - i would be an awful footman 😛

On the Misfits home page I used a blank blue banner to change the black to blue, but I didn't do any blending. If I use another picture, blending will be the way to go. Maybe blending to white near the edges.
