Let those that want to play under the present system do so and those who want to play under the proposed ELO system do so.

Do you think you will be allowed to run a clan after the punishment?

Why do you keep calling it the ELO system.
We already have an ELO system for the players.

The proposed system is called the clan rating system.
And it has been piloted, critiqued and assessed.

What this now amounts to is that you are now asking Russ to build you another feature.

    Let it go.

You can call it what you like, I don't care, all i want is to play in system that rewards good chess, the present system does not do that, sorry. You can play in the net points system and those clan leaders that voted for it can play in the ELO clan system. You get what you want and we can get on playing chess.

A system that rewards good chess ??
    What nonsense !!
Good chess (or bad chess for that matter) can happen in any system.
Including tournaments, which represents 90% of my games by the way !!

The issue at hand is the reward system is inconsistent with the nature of the challenge.

You still haven't tried to answer my question.

If 2 clans set a fair challenge, meaning equally rated players, why would one clan stand to gain more than the other clan just because they have a lower clan rating ??

This system is nothing more than take from the rich and give to the poor.

Sorry but I can get this kind of reasoning from a brick wall. I am under no duress to answer any of your questions or even to read your text.

You are pathetic. You could have competed in this system if you played good chess.
Instead, you opted to collude because you knew you weren't good enough to do it on your own.

    I kinda like Robbie's proposal
it would make for a friendlier gathering
the haters would have their own ladder
only problem is, who would they hate?
and the rest of us could play civilized chess
spreading good will and promoting the game
    yeah, I like it!

The incessant complaining has been coming from the likes of Carrobie, his cohorts and yourself.

Your attempt at flipping that fact is pathetic.

And who exactly are the haters ??
