I just swam 500 meters today.

Up until two weeks ago the best i could do was 100 regularly Managing one length breast stroke was a minor victory for me. the past two weeks i managed 150 in a visit to the pool, with maybe 50 meters of that breast stroke. Today i tried doing breast stroke first...and just kept on going.

My target was 10 lengths, i just did 20. Think i'll try for 60 beforethe year is out 🙂🙂😀😀😀🙂🙂

It's a great feeling when you find your best pace and can swim length after length. I began doing the crawl then began perfecting my stroke but also played around with seeing how few strokes I needed to do to get from one end of the pool to the other. I then tried swiming underwater, starting with widths and then aiming for lengths though I never quite made that but it relieved the monotony some days. There's nothing quite like the high you get from surging ahead under your own steam.🙂

I'm working on 500 meters also. It all started when I was a mere lad, got my first analog volt meter, then got into Digital volt meters then frequeny meters, up to 450 now🙂

It depends. Breast stroke has easier breath management, so it's purely a body tiring thing. I think the 750 took me 45 minutes total, give or take. If i could do 1500 in a week, that would be a good target.
