    Actually Wigwams are normally not heated by electricity.

    If you think of it electrical heating is a real waste:
    1. you convert chemical energy into thermal energy
    2. you convert thermal energy into kinetic energy by Evaporation.
    3. you convert kinetic energy into electrical energy
    4. you tranform electrical energy to high voltage for Transportation
    5. you transform electrical energy to low voltage for use
    6. you convert electrical energy into thermal energy.

    Each step comes with a loss. Five additional steps come with high loss. The French feel that now that nuclear electricity is not so cheap anymore...

    For keeping warm in my wigwam, I find that cuddling up to the Missus is far more efficient.
