That is good to read, great to know you're doing well. Hard to sum up a year, to think of a whole year in terms of good or bad. If you're looking back and only three are relatively glum, that's a pretty happy life.

Eh, everyone's rating is a result of their win/loss ratio.
The average rating of his opponents has been higher than his own,......your own incidentally have been lower. (In other words he has on average been playing people stronger than himself, while you have, on average, been playing opponents weaker than yourself).
*Edit, thought i better check my own 'average opponent' and it's a close run thing. 🙂
