Took a road trip this morning. Lit up sign along the freeway said, "PARK YOUR PHONE, 580 TRAFFIC DEATHS THIS YEAR".

Twelve hours later on the way back home another sign said, "PARK YOUR PHONE, 581 TRAFFIC DEATHS THIS YEAR".

Within 12 hours one more person died and I don't know who it was.

About 6,700 people die in the U.S. every day, and somewhere in the region of 100 of them die in accidents on the roads.

Along with about a third of the population of Chicago during Christmas.

Of course, that never makes the news.

Every time I turn the news on I wonder who will be next on the Grim Reaper's hit list? If it's me one of my sisters will announce it here. 😕

Well. it isn't "a third of the population of Chicago" and of course it HAS been all over the news. Save your infantile exaggerations and your loony-right wing all-purpose-and-evergreen-but-almost-invariably-untrue "debating point" [i.e. 'the news refuses to cover it'] for the Debate Forum cesspool. 😉

Chicago had more people shot than in Iraq last year.

    Crazy, huh?

But no one has claimed there is "nothing to see here" and no one has suggested that what has happened in Chicago is "more right wing lies". You are fabricating stuff, whodey.
