About as likely as it is for the European union to hold together till then. We can't agree even with that, so how do you think a world government could come about unless there was some kind of alien invasion bringing us all together ala 'Independence Day', the movie. Totally unlikely in the next 10,000 years much less the next 100. It would require a robust interstellar community to even contemplate some kind of war against humanity, and that is not very likely considering we can now hear ourselves anywhere our signals go in the Galaxy if we had stuff like Aricebo say 10,000 ly away and were there when the signals from Earth arrives, our own equipment could pick us up. And so far, not a peep from the world of RF astronomy and we have been at it for decades now. So no, I think it highly unlikely for there to be a world government, not only in 2119 but 2219, 2319, 2419 and up. Unless there was some near extinction event where we lose 99.99% of all humans which would mean there were less than a million humans alive on the whole planet. But of course that would lead to its own set of nightmares, everyone thinking locally, not interested in the outside world, a planet full of a hundred enclaves of a few thousand each and survivalist types trying to eek out a living on the land like the Browns in Alaska are doing today, Browntown they call it. A family of 9, 7 kids, some in their 30's now. Then you would have to survive bears mainly, their house has already been broken into by bears but now they at least have the backup of the film crew and such.
