Blitz Chess

Is blitz chess still down? Or is this just an issue that I am experiencing not trying to log into blitz? Any idea when it will be back up again? It's been several weeks now. Thanks.

Thank you ... I hope blitz is back up again soon. I think it's one of the best parts of the site.

The new version is now live.

If you are having any blitz issues, the following fixes coming tomorrow AM might be of interest.

- Reduced occurrence of appearing as a "null" player.
- Final move after a mate/draw condition will show the final move correctly on both boards.
- PGN will show last move in scenario described above.
- Opponent quitting and starting a new game will no longer prevent you from retrieving the game FEN.

Things that are coming :

- Spectate boards of games in progress.
- Browse game history after it concludes.
- And once stability has settled down, a blitz rating.

Surely worth waiting for, spectating can be great fun in Blitz...and what so so many people have been waiting for, and for so long, a Blitz rate !!
Will this be shown alongside our 'RHP rates', or perhaps only evident whilst in the Blitz site itself ?
