Claiming a win ...?

When one's opponent has run out of time in a corr game, does one have to do something special to claim the win? I have a corr game where this has happened but it is just sitting there in my list. Perhaps the fact that the only move played was 1.e4 means that this cannot be rated, but I'm wary of deleting the game lest I should be penalized somehow.
