This was posted several days ago but I provide here a systematic list of malfunctions. Basically my problem stems from a large rectangular window that pops up when the cursor hovers over a square in the Main board or Game History Board which is occupied by a piece.

I am using FireFos 15.0.1 and Java 7 Version 7 in XP

    A. Chrome
    Mainboard: (Malfunction)

Cursor on occupied square = hand icon
Cursor on unoccupied square =arrow icon
Left hand button = no function
Left hand button double click = no function
Right hand button = no function

    Game History Board (Correct Function)

Cursor on occupied square = hand icon
Cursor on unoccupied square =arrow icon
Left hand button = select – move function
Left hand button double click = Manipulate Piece function
Right hand button = Manipulate Piece function

    B. Internet Explorer
    Main Board: (Malfunction)

Cursor on occupied square = hand icon
Cursor on unoccupied square =arrow icon
Left hand button = no function
Left hand button double click = no function
Right hand button = no function

    Game History Board (Correct Function)

Cursor on occupied square = hand icon
Cursor on unoccupied square =arrow icon
Left hand button = select – move function
Left hand button double click = Manipulate Function
Right hand button = Manipulate Piece function

    C. Fire Fox
    Main Board: (Malfunction)

Cursor on occupied square = hand icon
Cursor on unoccupied square =arrow icon + rectangular window*
Left hand button = no function
Left hand button double click = no function
Right hand button = no function

    Game History Board (Malfunction)

Cursor on occupied square = hand icon + rectangular window*
Cursor on unoccupied square =arrow icon
Left hand button = select – move function
Left hand button double click = Manipulate Function
Right hand button = Manipulate Piece function

*Rectangular window 2 squares high x 8 squares long. Contains icons of black and white pieces and the text 144%. Left hand side of rectangle aligns with left hand side of selected square a lower edge of rectangle slightly above upper edge of seleted square.
