    Russ,

I understand you have to live on ads, no problem with that.
But drivecleaner isn't an ad but spyware in my opinion. It generates very annoying popups which I can't seem to get rid of.
    Can't drivecleaner be removed?

I would doubt that drivecleaner has any agreement to use this site.

    See this for removal.

    Ps.
Make sure your anti-ad/spyware and anti-virus stuff is all up to date.
And use a decent firewall - ie, not windows firewall.

I would recommend also this free program:

    Dr S is right.

Make sure you have a firewall, anti-virus and anti-spyware installed.

Free versions which seem to be doing the job for me, are Zonealarm (free firewall), AVG anti virus and AVG anti-spyware.

Also, after you remove drivecleaner, use firefox with built in pop-up blocker.

Or get an OS that isn't bothered by spyware and adware currently so that you don't have waste cpu cycles on antivirus and other such stuff.

Zonealarm (free firewall), AVG anti virus and AVG anti-spyware, I have them all installed and I use Firefox with pop-up blocker.
I also checked my harddisk for traces of drivecleaner: it's not there or disguised in such a way that I do not recognise it.
Furthermore, RHP is the only site that I visit where drivecleaner pops up. Apart from this I have no trouble with adware at all.
So I still think it's related to RHP.
Furthermore I think the ads in the top of the screen are country-related so probably only dutchies may have the same problems as I have.

drivecleaner is classed as a Trojan.

You can remove it - as above or by following the instructions here :

I had it when I used Internet Explorer but I've never seen it while using FF.

If your running Windows try installing Windows Defender from the microsoft web site. I don't know if it will get rid of it since I've never had a problem with it, but it does seem to pick up a lot of stuff that other anti spyware software miss out.

"Drivecleaner" spamware is specific to this site - it's driving me nuts (and yes I am using firefox with appropriate firewalls etc).

Somebody fix it! It is a problem with this site in particular, I only ever see it when I am here.

Once it's on your computer you have to remove it. And then prevent it's return.

    Here is a simple way to remove it;

If you got it from this site, I would be surprised - in fact I personally wouldn't knowingly go to any site that was deliberately dishing out malware.
