Don't know, but a check on two of my own games showed one finished in January was listed. One ended on 27th April 09 was not, but this might be because my opponent's rating at that date was below 1400. Suggest you send a question to the site administration using

I did, and nothing out of the ordinary happened. What happens when you do it?

You get a similar result from:

    1. d4 d5 2. c4 c5 3. e3 cxd4 4. cxd5

    It seems to link to the 1. d4 d5 2. c4 c6 games.

Another one (from a game of mine in progress):

    1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nf6 3. d4 Nxe4

Bd3 is the most popular move in this position, and the second most popular move is Bd3 - with a surprise.

The database behind the games explorer doesn't know the difference between black and white. This was reported when the feature was first introduced and has never been fixed. Alas.
