I am playing someone who has timedout and has a vacation flag for about 6 months - is this possible? If so, does that mean I can only hold 5 other games for the next 6 months?

You get 36 days a year to book for a vacation as a member.
You can NOT be timed out on any of the 36 days you book for vacation. Your time clocks keep running thow, and will expire when times up. But your opponents can't claim the timeout win on a booked vacation day.
The rest is click skull time.
If your opponents 36 days run out before they get back from vacation you then can claim the win.

this is what is vacation flag says:

I am not complaining - I just wanted to understand how it works. I thought his message meant he was going to be on vacation for 6 months and I wanted to know if that meant I was going to lose a game slot for that time period. How that equals b____ing I have no idea. Isn't that the purpose of the help forum? - to get help on something you don't understand.

    Wrong on two counts.
    1. It's 30 days
    2. All MEMBERS don't get to use the Vacation Shuffle - only SUBSCRIBERS.*

    Fair enough.

[Your correction, that is. Not the VS, which is not, of course]

    Ragnorak says in Thread 69651:
"How does someone abuse the system? If they move while on vacation, then they are still using up their vacation allowance."

He believes that there can't be any abuse about the vacation system of RHP.
He even quotes Russ to back his opinion.

Poor ol' Ragnorak has no imagination.

Even sites like Gameknot don't bias the system for non-subscriber v subscriber games like they do here.
Games have to be played on a level playing field.

    Sorry doc.
I was thinking, That paying Subscribers are members only. Which is kinda true. But however you want to word it is fine with me.

But as someone else said it is 36 days of vacation a year for paying subscribers. Some have less days right now because they became subscribers after the first of the year. So they are prorated so to speak. If they stay subscribers into next year they will get 36 days of vacation next year.

Would you care to explain what abusing the vacation system is, if you don't agree with Rags? I'm very interested in what you consider abuse.

Subscribers should be able to play without the advantage of VS if they want to. It's not a benefit if it's compulsory. Is it?
