maximum games for non subscriber 6?

i thought the max for non subscribers is 6, but im playing one who has 12. why is this please?

Some players let their subscriptions lapse. The limit prevents them from making any new games, but whatever they have going when the sub. ends - these games carry on.
Occasionally there is a glitch and a non-sub gets an extra-game.

Other than that - 6 is the limit for non-subs.
