I know there are some computer experts out there and I can't find any help on the net without ringing a number which I don't want to do:-
If I try to download 'owt my pc automatically defaults to explorer.
My version of explorer doesn't work so it just sticks.
How can I change the default download browser to firefox or chrome?
    I have windows vista.
Also I can't find my recycle bin anynmore -it dissappeared when I emptied it!!

    >If I try to download 'owt<

? Not sure what that means.

To get Google Chrome as your browser:

Make sure you have dowloaded Chrome to your computer. When you download, there may be an option to make it the default browser as part of the installation.

If you downloaded Chrome sometime in the past, try this:

click the Windows flag button in the lower left corner

    right side "control panel"

    click "default programs"

    click "set your default programs:"

    left side click "Google Chrome"

right side click "set this program as default"

below that click "choose defaults for this program"

next page check all boxes including the "start menu" box

    click "save"

    Thanks for the reply anyway.

It just means 'anything'...then there's 'nowt', which means 'nothing'...both very northern English terms, as I'm sure Dave ( Venda ) will confirm 🙂

ey up ya nowty bugger 😀

Not that I'm saying you have Dave lol, it's just another example of northern speak. Actually, is that spelled correctly, any idea re: 'nowty'... ?

Edit: I'm guessing it's more Lancashire than Yorkshire, and it means 'someone who has a short fuse'...

    Not sure Dean.
Don't think spelling matters a deal in dialect speak.
