2 of my games in the Long Haul Grouped III : Rnd. 2 have got "please wait" written under result. now, i already know that i am going to loose the games in question (it is only the two games against fernando J P Vasquez, so i am pretty much waiting to loose) but does anyone know why it say "please wait" under the result? it's rather curious...

fernando J.P. Vasquez was just banned from the site for having multiple accounts. It probably has something to do with your situation.

waw-i didn't know that. does that mean i'll get rating poinys?!? 😀
Originally posted by Russ Actually, when a high rating player is banned, their games are now resigned with no points allocated. A win is still assigned though.
Their rating is then reset just to move them off the table.

What do you think Russ? Red Hot Ratings has a nice ring to it doesn't it?

You get the points for winning, but it is against a player rated 500 🙁
i beleive ratings are calculated by the players ratings at the start of the game, and what does this mean for the tournament?
i'm not overly bothered about my rating-i know i can beat one of my friends otb and he's over 1450 here, so they don't really count for overly much.

You'd think you knew how the site worked by now. Ratings are calculated on the rating at the end of a game.
Any players caught cheating and removed from the site will have their points set to zero in any current tournaments. Therefore they will not advance. Their name will appear crossed out in the crosstable.
