Site slow?

This is not resolved, as suspected earlier.

The problem is on-going and is being investigated.

The last two days have been terrible, but this afternoon (the last three hours) have been excellent.

I have been restarting the main web-server during my fault finding, which leads to a fast site. (at least in the short term.)

I believe a solution is now in place to prevent the slow-down. It will be impossible to be certain for at least 24 hours though.

It is of course impossible to be sure it is fixed, just that it hasn't messed up again yet.

It is all looking good now. I understand the cause and have a solution.

Wednesday afternoons are a peak period for some reason, so within a few hours I will know if all is well for sure.

Suggest restarting the web-server every hour on the hour 😀
