This cache business must be an Internet Explorer problem. I've NEVER cleared mine and have had no trouble. Ever.

I didn't get where I am today by clearing my cache.

Use firefox. Safer, better, prettier and customizable.

You should run Linux to satisfy your penguin part, and then look for a puffinish browser. Opera is Norwegian, and there are lots of puffins in Norway, so I think Opera is quite puffinish.

Make sure you force yourself to use Tabs in the beginning. They are brilliant once you get used to them.

Not sure why you are having a problem with the cursor?? Mine is perfect.

Whereas Firefox is optimized for Linux, Opera is optimized for Windows.
