Time bank - open invite waiting

I started two games for open invite. One was accepted by someone and is in progress. The second game still says waiting for opponent, yet the timebank is running on the game, and it didn't even start yet - there's no opponent.

Any reason why the timebank is running?

EDIT: someone just joined the game and I am white, if that makes a difference, but 15 mins had run off of the timebank clock before he joined the game from what I can tell. It's just weird is all.

Timebank only runs out once the regular timeout period is over. And the timebank lost, is lost forever.

Timeout period (timebank if there is 0 days timeout period) do not start running before the first move has been made.
