Can somebody please explain to me what is a siege? I think even non-subs can participate in siege so I am interested.

    Copied from Siege page...
"Every siege consists of one board which must be defended for as long as possible.
Win as white to capture the board, winning as black will successfully defend the board.
A draw will count as a capture for white, and the defending black player will be ousted.
A queue of challengers will develop - the defender must play each in sequence until beaten.
The defender or the new challenger may start the next waiting game at anytime.
You may only be in one queue for each timeout series, although you may be at a board and waiting in a different queue.
Dominate this game by achieving consecutive successful defences."

Non subs can't take part in Sieges.

A bit insensitive of you to say that.

$30 per year maybe cheap for you, but for us indians, its really expensive. I agree its a great site though.
The exhange rate is about Rs.45 per $1 which means we have to pay about Rs.1350 per year for chess. Thats too much for me and most other Indians. Sorry!
