How do I do if I want to find out what a particlar opening name according to the official ECO system a certain game has from a PGN-file?
Is there any utility program for doing this?

If you are using firefox and have greasemonkey installed, there is one of the RHP scripts that will give the ECO name of the opening here at RHP as you play your game. I don't know much about the names of the openings so I don't know how accurate or extensive it might be.

That's not exactly what you asked about I know, but it's close....

    Perhaps it is close enough.

I think the time is ripe to for FF to try FF.

Nobody really knows. Some speculate that he may have been dropped on his head a number of times as a child. 😉

He didn't ask for FF as FabianFnas, he asked about what was wrong with FireFox, didn't he? 😠

That's exactly what I am to find out!

It would be a good move for you, I think. I switched from IE some time ago and have not had any problems. You can always go back to IE if you decide you don't like it. I still have IE installed on my machine in case I need it, but FF is my default browser.

There are many greasemonkey scripts that have been put together that really are useful here. You may not end up using all of them, but there are several that are an improvement.

same, FireFox is better + i like the tabpage option (multiple sites open in 1 browser window), yes, i know, IE has that option allso now, but they stole it from FF, besides, its easyer to use in FF.

and yes FF i was asking for FF, not you(FF) 😛
