I'm trying to send a challange and name the game "the lost players game 9" but when I try to put it in I get a dropdown offering either "the lost players game 1" or "The lost players game 8" but it just keeps going in with the 1 or the 8 and if I try to change it to a 9 it just changes back. Part of the trouble is the dropdown menus actually covers the field so you can't type anything in.

It also happened when I started this thread. I typed in the W and the drop down menu came up blocking it so I had no choice but to use that title

To help us understand your problem, you need to say what device you're using and which page you're on. Even if we can't identify the problem we may be able to offer a workaround.

I'm on a laptop with Windows Vista and I'm on the New Game page where you fill out the options (Opponent, Game Name, Play as etc)

Tried but couldn't replicate your problem, my dropdown box lands neatly below the bottom of the box. If you're using IE, check that the zoom level is 100%, site does strange things if it's on 125% or 150%. Since it's also happening on the forum new thread page, this is the most likely cause of the problem.

In any case, the problem is likely to be in your browser, so you can test that theory by trying a different browser.

If you don't want to do that right now, just put an extra character such as * at the start of your typing, and the dropdown box won't open at all.

On the far right of the Chrome screen, just below the top line, there's a square thing made of three bars - that's the Settings. There's a zoom thing in there.
