Why is the site so slow?

Some slowness seems to have returned to the game pages.

The site speed will be slightly inconsistent during peak periods, but should never fall to an uncomfortably slow speed.

From about 2pm GMT until 9pm GMT the site will really be working and you may notice a slight drop in performance. (Fridays being the worst)

Friday 11pm (GMT) - taking 30 seconds to a minute to process moves.

Other sites loading fine.

In the last few minutes it's been like connecting via 28k dialup, whilst other sites are normal.

Most people I hang with seem not to be aware that there was ever anything slower than 56k...
