Apathist spoke of a strong will in a different thread.

I have a question regarding the 'will' and 'will power'.

How can a person apply the will and will power in regards to quitting smoking. It seems that the brain is against a decision to quit, because it wants its fix.

You have to be a bit of a martyr, cause you aren't getting away from the smokers. E-cig for the nic, and watch how quick you actually don't need it. Gum for the oral fixation. The serious strong urge to smoke is like a cresting wave. Whether you cave or not, the wave goes away, somewhat.

    Blimey Mr Kettle.

I gave up smoking years ago, by will power alone. I also gave up eating meat at the age of 12, again by will power. (Bacon was a toughy).

I'm wondering, you give plates of food to your household?

Why? Are you going to see if Ghost wants a lodger?

Don't require a lodger, but do need somebody to tidy up the garden.
