Tesla Model 3

Tesla has started taking orders for the Model 3 and people are lining up to buy them even though the details of the car don't get released until this evening.
What are peoples thoughts on the Model 3? It is billed as the electric car for the ordinary person as opposed to the previous models that were luxury cars for the rich.
I personally can not afford a new car of any kind so can only dream of owning an electric car.
