Right now, having taken over Club 236, I find that I can only run thematic tourneys involving positions in the RHP opening book. This is a needless limitation!

    Example: Scotch, Goering Gambit - 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. d4 exd4 4. c3 and the only two further options are A) Sea Cadet Mate: ... dxc3 5. Nxc3 d6 6. Bc4 Bg4 7. O-O Ne5 8. Nxe5 Bxd1 9. Bxf7+ Ke7 10. Nd5# and B) ... dxc3 5. Nxc3 Bb4. So, if I want to give my club members a shot at a line like 5.Bc4?!? - that option is closed to me!

There's no reason it should be.

C'mon Russ--give us club tourneys that start from any legal position!

    I agree.
This would allow clubs to play tournaments that would be difficult to create otherwise because opponents are playing their own moves and it gives players a chance to test different openings.

One hundred percent.agreement here...club members frequently ask for opening lines that are not in "play from opening" list...

I totally agree. Learning openings is absolutely capital in our game. So we need the right tools.

Add my thumbs up to the list of 100. It should be no bother getting more than that to agree with us.
I like playing from different openings, it one of the few learning experiences I get frea this site so let's improve it.
And maybe i'll forgive the site for banning Roma 😀 and i'll renew my subscription....

    Maybe...

Well with only 25 approvals it probably will not happen...I am aware of only me and Dogg using our Club Admin message board to get out the message....if you don't speak no one hears...
