Forum auto-mod is broken

I've had three completely "OK" posts auto-modded in the last 10 days. Checked and double checked for typos which could be banned words, nothing.

Anyone else noticed this?

I've sent feedback of course.

The last three times this happened to me, I was replying to another user whose name contains a banned word.

Of course, this makes it difficult to have a conversation with this person.

I've had to edit the line which says "Originally posted by" to alter the person's name. Others have had this same problem.

Yep, happened to me yesterday.

Edit: Just checked and the poster I replied to does have a 'rude' word embedded in his username. (Not deliberately).

Ah, interesting. Thanks both of you, I will look for that in future.

Annoyingly, I can't remember who I was replying to these times.

I could swear it used to have two i's. Maybe she sent feedback and got it changed.

Yep, that's what I meant by the wrong end of the stick. 🙂

He has identified himself as being male.

This has been an interesting issue - as clearly there was a problem, but auto-mod has not been tinkered with in years.

Approx. 2 weeks ago, user Ashi-taka's name was corrected to the (offending) preferred spelling, by me, with no auto-mod active.

So, the mystery is solved!

edit:I have reversed the name change.
