Blessings and Curses to all people
God is not a respecter of persons.

.. Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.
Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled.
Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh.
Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you,
and when they shall separate you from their company,
and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil,
for the Son of man's sake.
Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold,
your reward is great in heaven:
for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.
But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation.
Woe unto you that are full! for ye shall hunger.
Woe unto you that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep.
Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets. But I say unto you which hear,
Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,
Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.
    And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other;
and him that taketh away thy cloke forbid not to take thy coat also.
    Give to every man that asketh of thee;
and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.
And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.
For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye?
for sinners also love those that love them.
And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye?
for sinners also do even the same.
And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye?
for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.
    But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again;
and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest:
for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
Judge not, and ye shall not be judged:
condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned:
forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure,
pressed down, and shaken together, and running over,
shall men give into your bosom.
For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
    (Luke 6:20-38 KJV)

Then you are a better Christian than many.
Those are the words of Jesus Christ.
Tell me how many times if at all have you seen Christians post references like that.

Been around here over 12 years, and Christians dont post that stuff.

Well, it seems to have ruffled Suzianne's feathers.

I did a thread on the Constitution of the Kingdom going through Matthew 5.

Do you have some complex that you're the only faithful one left like Elijah complained ?

    Matthew sets out the demand.
John sets out the supply to meet the demand.

Without Christ being the life to get into people there is no way to live in the kingdom of the heavens in Matthew.

Without Christ indwelling to be our grace and life by His Spirit in John there is no way to live up to the standard set forth in Matthew.

The two gospels complement each other. The only person in the universe who can make it to live that high standard of morality in Matthew is Christ Himself. He has to come into man to saturate man, fill us up, conform us to His image by being our divine life.

These people who dont like the teachings of Christ are the devils angels [Imagine a Christian thumbing down a cut and paste from Jesus himself] . So I doubt she has feathers to ruffle... more like horns.

What do you think it means to be "poor in spirit" ?

This is the first beatitude. This is the beginning.

"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of the heavens."

In your experience what is it to be "poor in spirit" ?

    What? No questions?

Someone poor is spirit would at least say something about this ...

    I'm puzzled.
Or have you been down this road with sonship?

Were divegeester's "feathers ruffled" when he posted similar in my Romans 3 thread?

And, oh yeah, "did some chewed banana come out of your nose in your haste to say this?"

Please try not to be such an apparent shill, attacking all those who generally don't buy into your crap, and supporting all those who don't mind sacrificing their morals to shamelessly agree with you.

More assuming, lying, and bearing false witness. You just don't know when to quit, do you? Your hypocrisy is becoming too apparent to just gloss over as all those who agree with you just to keep you attacking your Christian brothers do. You "talk the talk" but we have no evidence that you "walk the walk". And yeah, that's "mouth worship". And that is why you are a hypocrite.

No, not at all. It was not "similar", indeed, it was completely different. divegeester didn't direct that comment at you for quoting the Bible; he directed it at another poster who didn't seem to realize that that was what you'd done. But here you have directed the comment at a person for quoting the Bible. What's wrong with quoting the Bible?
