That comment about monks reminded me of what one of my sister's friend said when they were about 6 years old. She had gotten a Barbie motor home for Christmas. Her comment was, "I cried real tears for this."

This young Gese La, some 20 years old was held in high respect by a Buddhist monk friend of mine. I had read much about Tibetan Buddhism and was excited but also a bit apprrehensive. Not scared,but just worried i would not be impressed the way I would expect to be.
When I did meet him I was genuinely overjoyed as I looked into his eyes and he into mine- both equals but yet very different. But I was even more relieved that the actual guy lived upto the myth my mind had created.
