If we view everything as cultural we may miss God's speaking.
The lesson of John the Baptist should remind us of that.

He might say " I spoke everything you needed to prepare for the last days. I came to you in messages given by my servants from China. You didn't realize that the Body of Christ can have the blood supply flow from East to West the same way it can flow from West to East."

Watch Him. God can throw us a straight ball. It is we who can be a little "curved" in what we expect.
