I decided to play my old favorite the Birds opening. Not for the faint hearted

Don't panic, This turns out to be a wasted move, I know it had to be very tempting to bring the queen out to check. However it doesn't get anywhere except to help me develop faster while he is wasting time moving the queen. With the Birds opening your going to open up your king side, This can lead into a King side blitz or just as you are about to see.

? 3 times now the queen has moved. This is just BAD there is no other way to describe it. Develop you pieces anything, you brought you Queen back, just to bring it out again. Complete waste of time.

so now I'm way ahead in development. I have 3 main pieces active, 2 Knights and my bishop although it hasn't moved it has two direct lines opened up.

? Knights on the rim are dim. Although its the 1st time a main piece has been moved. it shouldn't have taken 7 moves for it to happen and never should it be a move like this.

No I didn't miss the pawn on b2, again I saw it wouldn't lead anywhere.
            • 7... Qb4xb2 8. Bf1g2
This type of move is again position play, but I'm trying to send the message, I don't care what you are doing you can't hurt me, so you can have my pawn, while I make my self stronger and you remain weak.

! ok this is more like it, Black starting to pose a threat, it is a good idea, however what you've also cut off The Queen's escape. Everything is protected.

Problem solved, 2 pieces attacking my knight on c3, 2 pieces defending my Knight. Chess is a numbers game after all.

The best possible place for a knight is in the center so why not?
                    • 11... c5 12. Nd4e2
I guess I saw that coming but on the good note I now have 3 pieces defending my knight allowing my rook to move now.
