This game will show you the ideal game for white using the Bishop Sacrifice. It works beautifully here. Before the game starts both sides starts off with one weakness, this open, exploits that weakness.

  • 1. e4 e5 2. Bf1c4
The bishop comes out 1st not the knight, I want the pawn on E4 to look tempting.
    • 2... Ng8f6
This is normal, going after the pawn, Black normally expects either d3 or Nf3. It is just automatic people expect this and don't worry about this.
      • 3. c3
!? hang on a second!! this is different, blocks the Knight getting to f3 and leaves the pawn on e4 hanging... Free pawn go ahead and take it.
        • 3... Bf8c5
Black isn't taking the bait Black learned from before I think. He just wants to get safe and castle or maybe try my own attack against me.
          • 4. Ng1f3
?! This may or may not of been a good move certainly a questionable one, We both had a pawn hanging. I decided to go for it. It stopped him from castling.
            • 4... d6
Good as any move at this point. o-o would be interesting though.
              • 5. Bc4xf7
No more delays, I don't want black to castle.
                • 5... Ke8xf7
I know who could resist taking a free piece. The best decision is to just leave it alone.
                  • 6. Nf3g5 Kf7g6
?? coming to attack the Knight was the mistake that cost him the game. He unknowingly leads his king into a trap, where I can play with his king until It's mate time. This mistake cost black the game.
                    • 7. d4 exd4 8. e5
This was a matter of getting my own pieces out of the way which is why I didn't re-capture on d4.
