The fastest loss in my archive. At least three important mistakes.
1. e4 e5 2. Ng1f3 f5
Didn't really know what to answer to this move.
3. d3
Perhaps 3. exf5 or 3. Nxe5 would have been better.
3... g6 4. Bc1e3
? Can't remember why I did this. Again missed the opportunity to take Black's pawn on e5
4... Nb8c6
And the opportunity is gone...
5. d4
?? Forgot that this pawn was securing the one on e4.
5... fxe4
Now, my knight is under attack.
6. Nf3xe5
Exchanging knights and pawns.
6... Nc6xe5 7. dxe5 Qd8e7
But the pawn is under attack now. What to do now?
8. Qd1d4
?? What an idea: defending the stupid pawn with my queen in front of the battle. Could have played 8. Bd4 or 8. Bf4 as well (but then the black pawn would be moving again).
8... Bf8g7
! Attack on e5 is enforced. Black really means it.
