Qe7 would have been better... Instantly killing Black with threats of Ne4 and Ne5. But Bc4 preserves a strong advantage.

Desperate to win back the d-pawn. But ...Nd7 was stronger

Why not ...Qxd6? Surely the last move was played with this in mind...M
