My thoughts, with help from Dr. Fritz

  • 1. Bc4xf7
Greedy, materialistic computer's like to say that Nxf7 is better, but human experience says otherwise!
  • 1... Ke8e7 2. Bf7b3 d5
It's either this or Rf8, I prefer this move to free the light square bishop
  • 3. Nb1c3 h6 4. exd5 Nc6d4 5. Ng5e4 Bc5b6
Computer suggested exchanges on b3 and then e4, ready to play Qxd5 to get a pawn back, but in my experience you're more likely to create chances by keeping material on the board
  • 6. Ne4xf6 gxf6 7. d3 Nd4xb3
This goes against what I just said, but it was to allow Qg8 (if I played it now, you'd have d6+ winning the Queen)
  • 8. axb3 Qd8g8 9. Qd1f3 h5
Already looking at trapping your Queen, however Be3 or h3 stops most if not all threats
  • 10. Nc3e4 Qg8g7
Protects the pawn and now Bg4 is the threat, again h3
  • 11. Bc1d2
I guess this was missed.... however White still has an ace in the hole
  • 11... Bc8g4
Ng3 here at least threatens Nf5+ after Black takes the Queen... the engine scores the game pretty evenly here, but Ng3 is hard to see (I certainly didn't catch it)
  • 12. Qf3g3
Now it's all but lost, unlucky...
