Once Black gets his K out from under the pin, he would have been able to plant Ns on d4 and d3; I did not relish this prospect.

I didn't expect him to give up contesting the d file especially as I now get to d3 with tempo but I guess he had to analyse moves like a6 getting in amongst his knights at every turn.
It is obvious that the Black P juggernaut is going to roll very soon and that White's 2 Ns alone will not be able to stop them; so the QR comes to re-inforce them. I had hoped to move the KR to the d-file, but Black turned up the pressure immediately and White never got the chance.
